| Welcome to the National Children's Museum Web Site! Scheduled to open in 2012, the National Children’s Museum will be a world-class cultural and educational center with a mission to inspire children to care about and improve the world. The Museum will serve millions of children and their families each year through a new 150,000 square-foot experiential learning center at National Harbor. Onsite and online exhibits and experiences, complemented by a national network of programs and partners, will give all children the opportunity to learn, explore and connect with opportunities to get involved and make a difference in their communities.
The Capital Children's Museum closed permanently in August 2004 so that we could begin full-time development of the National Children's Museum. Please check back here regularly for updates on our progress or sign up below to receive our e-newsletter. |
